PSA - HNN Terminal 913 : Introduction of a Yard Opening Time
March 29,2021
Yard Opening Time of 7 calendar days before ETA of the ocean vessel
Dear Valued Customers,
Please be informed that as from 31th March 2021, PSA / HNN Terminal 913 will implement a YOT (Yard Opening Time) of 7 calender days before ETA.
Please see below the announcement from the terminal:
Quote..."Since the end of last year also our Antwerp terminals have been suffering from yard congestion mainly due to the increasing dwell time of export containers. The delay in the arrival time of the vessels as well as the too early delivery of containers are the main causes of our yard constraints.
With last week’s event in the Suez Canal, we know for sure that again vessels will be delayed and that the pressure on our terminals will further increase.
In order to remain operational in the coming weeks, we have no choice but to implement a Yard Opening Time (YOT) for all Mid & Far East vessels as long as the final ETA of the vessels has not been confirmed. The YOT is thus the earliest day on which an export container can be delivered. In practice, this YOT starts 7 calendar days before the ETA of the deep sea vessel and will move along with changes in the ETA of the vessel. The YOT will not change anymore as from the moment the 7th day before ETA is reached.
We will implement this YOT as from Wednesday, 31st of March. Given the short notice, we kindly ask your support by informing your customers of this change on the PSAA terminals.”
