Summary for 1st Quarter 2024

It has been pretty quiet around us in the media in the last few weeks, but you can be assured that we have done a lot of work internally to strengthen our position for the future.
Here is a short summary of our latest developments and carrier events:
 
Internal news:
  • The Integration of Allmarine’s business activities into O. Brunoni S.A. has been fully and successfully completed by end of 1Q24.
  • O. Brunoni S.A. welcomes new customers on board thanks to integration of business activities from Allmarine AG.
  • The data from our regular internal audits have shown that we have been able to maintain our quality level, despite the changes. Our focus will remain on further improvements of our high-service-quality.
  • O. Brunoni S.A. is in talks with various ship owners to take over the agency activities in Switzerland. Some of them are practically unknown and could be an enrichment for our Swiss community. More details to follow once final.
Carrier & Service news:
  • HMM strengthens its product offering for Reefer & Special Equipment such as Open Top and Flat Rack Container out of Switzerland.
  • HMM changed Depot location in Switzerland.
  • HMM expends its fleet with twelve state-of-the-art 13’000 vessels, more details HERE.
  • HMM improves product offering from Europe to Indian Main ports including ICD destinations (and vice-a-versa).
  • HMM rerouting Suez traffic to Cape of Good Hope due to incident in Red Sea, more details HERE.
  • HMM suspends Jeddah port call until further notice, due to rerouting container traffic to/from Europe.
  • HMM wins top score in climate change.
  • HMM Signs MoU with Shanghai International Port Group on Clean Marine Fuel Bunkering.
  • ZIM celebrates Naming Ceremonies of final additions to the series of ten 15,000 TEU advanced LNG vessels.
  • ZIM climbs the liner rankings, with the recent delivery of the 15,248TEU ZIM Mount Vinson. ZIM now has a larger operating capacity, moving from 10th to ninth in the global rankings, more details HERE.
  • ZIM launched its ZPX service to Vancouver with expended rail connections to East & Central Canada, US Mid-West and Ohio Valley.
